
Emergency First Aid at Work
The Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course is designed to equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge to provide first aid in emergency situations. It covers emergencies that could happen both within the workplace and at home.
Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for all employees, particularly those in low-risk environments, such as offices or light industries. It’s ideal for staff who want to enhance their knowledge of first aid. This includes managers, team leaders, and designated first aiders.
What are the learning outcomes?
- Perform CPR and use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Handle minor injuries, such as cuts, grazes, and bruises
- Recognise and respond to medical emergencies, including burns, choking, and unconsciousness.
- Understand the legal responsibilities of first aid in the workplace
- Assess and manage an emergency situation effectively and confidently.

This training helps promote a safer workplace. It also ensures employees are prepared to act in emergencies while minimising the risk of further harm.
